Annual craft fair coming to Shawnee Town 1929

Shawnee Town 1929 will be abuzz with crafters and food vendors during the 36th annual Shawnee Town Arts and Crafts Fair.
The fair is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 17 at Shawnee Town, 11501 W. 57th St. Admission is $1, with proceeds benefiting Shawnee Town Museum.
Organizers expect close to 100 booths across the museum grounds with offerings including jewelry, handmade soaps, embroidery, pottery, funnel cakes and kettle corn, plus barbecue and hotdogs at the museum’s Trail Café.
“Having the fair on the grounds of a history museum makes this craft event special,” event co-founder Judy Owens said in an announcement from Shawnee Town. “We’re so pleased to see that it is still going strong 36 years later.”
The Friends of Shawnee Town play host to the annual fair to raise money for museum programs.
