Commission OK’s site plan for office building

The Shawnee Planning Commission last week approved a site plan for a new medical office building near Kansas Highway 7 and Johnson Drive.
The 11,200-square-foot Shawnee Crossings Medical Building is slated for a 1.84-acre property at 6804 to 6810 Silverheel Street, according to a city staff report.
There is another medical office to the south and a day care facility to the north.
The planned building is one-story with a decorative glass tower at the south end, similar to towers on neighboring buildings, according to the report. Plans call for 88 parking spots, including four handicap-accessible spots.
AMAI Architecture applied for approval on behalf of JLW Investments, the developer.
Commissioners approved the plan at their Sept. 19 meeting.
