Big rally not enough for MVHS boys at Lansing, girls stay unbeaten in league play
The Mill Valley boys basketball team rallied from a 19-point deficit but fell, 60-55, at Lansing on Tuesday.
Seniors Nathan Stacy and junior Brett Hamilton led the way with 24 and 21 points, respectively.
The loss, the Jaguars’ second straight, dropped Mill Valley to 3-2 (2-1 in the Kaw Valley League).
Meanwhile, the Mill Valley girls basketball team stayed perfect in league play with a commanding 57-26 victory against the Lions. The Jaguars (4-1, 3-0) remain atop the league standings with Tonganoxie (4-0, 4-0) and Bonner Springs (4-1, 3-0).
Both teams will be off for winter break until returning to action Jan. 4 against Bishop Ward at home.
