Elementary and middle school students who live in the Shawnee Northwest or North areas will be eligible to play boys lacrosse this spring through the Johnson County Park and Recreation District.

Fourth-through-eighth-grade boys will have a chance to play eight 90-minute games from March to May and practice twice per week with high school coaches from the area.

Registration is $160 and is due by Feb. 17. Registration can be made by phone at 913-831-3359, online at jcprd.com or walk-in at Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch Road in Merriam, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Participants will need a boys lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, helmet, arm pads, gloves, athletic cup, shoulder pads and cleats or soccer shoes.
