Communications company makes new acquisitions
A Shawnee communication company recently announced it has acquired two new businesses.
SKC Communication Products LLC, 8320 Hedge Lane Terrace, purchased Mpact Systems Inc., a South Carolina-based video conferencing and presentation technology integrator. SKC is also acquiring all clients of Boston-based Ahern Communications, which is closing its business operations.
SKC was founded in 1986 as Plantronics Inc.’s first headset distributor.
It is now Plantronics’ largest dealer and a full-service integrator of unified communications solutions incorporating voice, video and audio-visual technologies.
SKC employs 230 technology professionals nationwide.
