Lecture to examine strength during Depression
The Shawnee Town 1929 Speaker Series will continue at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 12 with “Struggle and Resilience: Kansas During the Great Depression.”
The free lecture will take place at the Town Hall building, 11600 Johnson Drive. It will be delivered by Lorraine Madway, Wichita State University archivist and curator of special collections, who will share stories of the perseverance and strength.
The speaker series will continue the second Tuesday of each month through October.
