Advance Auto Parts opens second store in Shawnee

February 19, 2013

Advance Auto Parts Inc. opened its second Shawnee store on Feb. 15 at 22103 W. 66th St.

Dan Gold, general manager of the new store, is a 15-year veteran of automotive and retail sales and has been with the Advance Auto Parts for five years.

The new store offers customers a wide range of parts and brands, as well as several free services. Employees, for instance, will install windshield wipers at no charge and install batteries following a complimentary check of a vehicle’s electrical system and old battery. The store also offers parts delivery to local commercial customers such as mechanics and garages. Customers also can drop off used motor oil and batteries at the store for recycling.

“Advance Auto Parts is committed to bringing our promise – ‘Service is our best part’ – to life not only for our customers but also in the communities where our customers and team members live,” Gold said. “As part of this commitment, we are pleased to announce a $1,000 check has been donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.”

The store is open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays. The other Shawnee Advance Auto Parts store is located at 11818 Shawnee Mission Parkway.
