Shawnee police investigate teenage drinking party rape claim
Shawnee The parents of a Shawnee teenager say she was raped at an underage drinking party last weekend, Shawnee police reported Thursday.
On Saturday night and into Sunday morning, three teenage girls and two teenage boys met at a home in the 17000 block of West 66th Terrace where no parents were present, said Maj. Bill Hisle, police spokesman.
“They all imbibe alcohol to one degree or another,” Hisle said. “The victim eventually passes out.” The two other girls later found her lying nude on the floor of a bathroom, Hisle said.
On Wednesday, the girl’s parents contacted police to report that their daughter had been raped at the party, Hisle said.
“She basically has no memory of the events,” he added.
No arrests have so far been made in the case, which was still under investigation Friday.
