Shawnee Town Hall to host farmhouse breakfast class
Shawnee farmers in the 1920s knew how to get up and go every morning with a hearty breakfast, and now you can learn their secrets.
From 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 23, head to Town Hall, 11600 Johnson Drive, where Chef Sherry Carter will demonstrate the right way to start the day with simple, healthy entrees that will help you stay more alert, focused and satisfied throughout the morning. At 5 p.m., participants can take a free guided tour of the Shawnee Town 1929 farmhouse, including its large 1920s kitchen.
The cost is $10. Call 913-248-2360 to register for the class.
