Two displaced by overnight fire

December 23, 2015

Shawnee Fire Investigators are working to determine what caused a house fire late Tuesday night.

Fire Marshal Corey Sands says firefighters were called to the home at 5732 Hall Street around 10:30 p.m.

Firefighters worked for about two hours to extinguish the flames.

"Extensive damage to the home but no injuries to residents or firefighters," Sands said.

A damage estimate was not immediately available.
