Shawnee Offering Storm Debris Drop Off Site
To help residents dispose of tree debris from last week's thunderstorms, the City of Shawnee is offering a free drop-off site for Shawnee residents.
Beginning Friday, June 26 through Sunday, July 12, trees and limbs can be dropped off at the southwest corner of Johnson Drive and Renner, directly across the street from the Shawnee Justice Center. Vehicles can access the area at 59th Terrace and Renner Road.
This drop-off site is only open to Shawnee residents and will be open daily from dawn to dusk through July 12. A proof of residency such as a driver's license or recent utility bill is required to make a drop-off.
Anything dropped off at the site should be limited to limbs and trees.
Residents with questions about the debris drop off can call Public Works at (913) 742-6008.
