K-State undergraduate from Shawnee named to cancer research team
Martha Nguyen, of Shawnee, was one of 47 Kansas State University students chosen for the school’s prestigious undergraduate research mentoring and award program.
The award program is open to Kansas State University undergraduate students interested in doing cancer-relevant research. The program provides $1,000 per student for research expenses.
It selects up to 50 students for the award per year.
The awardees conduct their research in the mentors’ laboratories during the spring semester.
Nguyen is a junior in biology.
