JCPRD receives healthy workplace Gold Certification

November 6, 2016

The Johnson County Parks and Recreation District recently received Gold Level Healthy KC Certification from the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Healthy KC Workplace Wellness Program.

The initiative recognizes organizations for their efforts in creating a workplace focused on health and wellness.

Certification is based on four ‘pillars’ of health: nutrition, physical activity, tobacco cessation, and work/life integration.

There are four levels of certification, based on a company’s level of achievement across the four pillars: Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention.
