Car show held to benefit Special Olympics programs
Shine up your vintage or contemporary car, truck, hot rod, or motorcycle because it is time to show them off at the Johnson County Parks and Recreation Department’s seventh annual Cars in the Park car show.
The show is being held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Theatre in the Park, located at 79th Street and Renner Road.
Admission is free for spectators and food concessions will be available.
There will be participant choice judging for awards.
To enter your vehicle, the fee is $20 in advance or $25 the day of the show.
All proceeds from this event benefit the JCPRD Special Olympics programs, which will allow athletes to participate in 22 different sports, as well as attend games and the Kansas Special Olympics state games.
