- The honors are still rolling in for several Shawnee area football players after the Kansas Football Coaches Association unveiled its all-state teams and Top 11 earlier this week. De Soto’s Marshall Kellner, Trevor Watts, Zach Titus and Jack Barger were named to the Class 4A-I all-state team, while DHS coach Brian King was selected as the Coach of the Year. Kellner was also named to the Top 11 squad. The Mill Valley duo of Brody Flaming and Ike Valencia and the St. James tandem of Jack Petz and Parker Kelley were all selected to the 5A all-state team. Kellner, Watts, Titus, Barger, Flaming, Valencia, Petz and Kelley were also eight of 66 players from the Shawnee area to earn all-league honors.
