Memorial services for Carolyn Kay Reynolds, 66, of Shawnee, were Monday, Dec. 1, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
Mrs. Reynolds died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008.
She was born Sept. 30, 1942, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Elmer and Lucy Davis Smith. She grew up in Rosedale, Kan., graduating from Rosedale High School in 1960.
Mrs. Reynolds was a proud member of Job’s Daughters and a 37-year member of the Rosedale/Shawnee Legion. She retired from the JC Penny’s Outlet after 17 years of work.
A daughter, Angie Carter, died earlier.
Survivors include her husband, Larry W. Reynolds Sr., five sons Mike Carter, Overland Park, Larry Reynolds Jr., Kansas City, Kan., Donnie Reynolds, Overland Park, David Reynolds, Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Jimmie Durkee, Shawnee; a daughter, Robyne Carr, La Cygne, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Kansas City Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee 66203.
