Janice M. Budy 1918 - 2010 Bonner Springs
Services for Janice Marie “Jan” Budy, 91, of Bonner Springs, were Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs. Burial was in Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Budy died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at Bonner Springs Nursing and Rehabilation Center.
She was born Sept. 26, 1918, in Holden, Mo., and had been a longtime area resident. She was a sales clerk and manager for the Leader and the Jones Store in Kansas City, Mo., for many years.
Mrs. Budy was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bonner Springs.
As was mentioned in her husband’s obituary just five months ago, they dated just one week before marrying and had been married for over 70 years.
Her husband, Al Budy, died in July 2009.
Survivors include a son, Bill Budy, and his wife, Lydia, Kansas City, Kan.; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Budy, Basehor; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Wayside Waifs in care of the funeral home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.

I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
