Marvin W. Miller 1931 - 2010 Shawnee

Services for Marvin W. Miller, 78, Shawnee, were Saturday, Jan. 16, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Burial with full military honors was at Pleasant View Cemetery.
Mr. Miller died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, in Kansas City, Kan.
He was born June 7, 1931, in Bigelow, Kan., the son of Albert and Caroline Miller. After graduating in 1950 from Frankfort High School, Mr. Miller joined the Army and served as a heavy equipment operator during the Korean War.
At the conclusion of the war, Mr. Miller was stationed in Germany for three years before returning home. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a signal maintainer for 42 years until his retirement in 1993.
He married Pamela Beazley, Dec. 31, 1994, and she survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Eveline Johnson, and her husband, Greg Somers, Plano, Texas.

Do you think the state should do more to help businesses near K-7 and Johnson Drive as an interchange is constructed?

Given the time the state has had to prepare, I don’t think completing the access road before starting/ closing Johnson Drive is an unreasonable request from these businesses or those of us who patronize them.
