Lucille J. Templeton Shawnee

Memorial services for Lucille J. Templeton, 85, Shawnee, were Friday, Jan. 29, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
Mrs. Templeton died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at her home.
She had been a resident of the Shawnee area her whole life and was an active member of First Church of Christ Scientist for more than 70 years.
Survivors include three sons Terry (Linda) Templeton, Kearney, Mo., Kenneth (Lynda) Templeton, Lake Ozark, Mo., and Scott (April) Templeton, Donnellson, Iowa; a sister, Nadine Hendershott, Lake Ozark, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
The family suggests memorials to First Church of Christ, Scientist, 9224 W. 57th St., Merriam, KS 66203

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?

I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
