Karl Wayne Johnson 1961 - 2008 Shawnee

Services for Karl Wayne Johnson, 46, Shawnee, were Friday, July 25, at Westside Family Church in Lenexa. Graveside services were Saturday, July 26, at George's Creek Cemetery in Yellville, Ark.
Mr. Johnson died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kan.
He was born Aug. 20, 1961, the son of Ermal James and Martha Johnson.
Mr. Johnson had been a member of Westside Family Church since 2001. He graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in 1979, and kept his "high school muscle car" throughout his life. A heavy-duty truck mechanic for more than nine years, his friends called him "The Tool Man." He prided himself on his complete machine and welding shop with a CNC plasma-cutting table and Woodmizer sawmill.
In 1987, Mr. Johnson became a Snap-On Tools dealer, which he continued full-time for 15 years and part-time after that. He enjoyed working on cars and built a 427 Cobra; he also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, riding wave-runners and anything else to do with water.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle, of Lexington, Mo.; two sons, Brand and Dustin Johnson, both of Shawnee; a stepdaughter, Stefanie Braden, Raymore, Mo.; a stepson, Jordy Braden, Lexington, Mo.; a brother, Jamie Johnson, Yellville, Ark.; and a sister, Linda Slack, Brandon, Minn.
