Rosa "Rosie" Mae Graham 1924 - 2008 Prairie Village

Services for Rosie Mae Graham, 83, Prairie Village, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at 10 a.m. at Amos Family Chapel with burial following in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Graham died July 26, 2008.
She was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Fort Scott, Kan., the youngest child of Albert Emery and Rose Ellen (Kash) Thomas. Rosie graduated from Richards High School in 1942, where she played basketball and softball. She worked at Key Work Clothes in Fort Scott.
She and Kenneth Graham were married Aug. 18, 1945, in Fort Scott. The family moved to Kansas City, Kan., in 1950, and then to Shawnee in 1971.
Mrs. Graham's life revolved around her family, the church, and lifelong friends. She took great pleasure in the simple things in life. She was a lifelong member of the Community of Christ Church and had retired from Montgomery Ward Retail Office in 1989.
She and her husband moved to Brighton Gardens Assisted Living community in March 2003.
Survivors include her husband, Kenny; three children, Dale Graham, Kansas City, Kan., Steve Graham, Shawnee, and DeAnn Bender, Prairie Village; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
A stepgreat-grandchild died earlier.
