Julius Hubert Schindorff 1916 - 2008 Shawnee

Services for Julius Hubert Schindorff, 92, Shawnee, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 19, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee; burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Mo.
Mr. Schindorff died Monday, June 16, 2008, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam
He was born March 26, 1916, in Eastland, Mo.
During World War II, he worked at Pratt & Whitney, building engines. After the war, Mr. Schindorff went to work as a mechanic for Kelly Williams Ford and later LD Gates, retiring in 1973. In his retirement, Mr. Schindorff started buying farms and cleaning them up for sale.
He was a member of the Lenexa United Methodist Church.
He married Dorothy J. Bryant on Jan. 7, 1940. She died Jan. 5, 2008.
Survivors include his son, Hubert, Bella Vista, Ark.; two daughters, Donnita Coble, Brownsville, Texas, and LaVona Richerson, Shawnee; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at the chapel. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
