Carmen Kline Lenexa

A memorial service for Carmen Kline, 96, Lenexa, was Sunday, May 18, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
Mrs. Kline died May 10, 2008.
Before moving to Lenexa in 1986, she lived in Argentine, Rosedale and Kansas City, Kan.
Mrs. Kline was employed in the medical records department at the Kansas University Medical School and became a registered medical librarian. She then was employed for 38 years by a group of physicians in Kansas City, Kan. After retiring in 1974 she returned to work for another group of physicians in 1976 and retired again in 1984.
She was a charter member and past president of the Wyandotte County Medical Assistants Society and was past president of the Kansas Medical Assistants Society. She chaired the committee that organized the American Association of Medical Assistants, served as its first treasurer, board of directors, certification committee and became a life member of this organization.
She was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary of the Rosedale unit and transferred membership to Shawnee unit. She was a past president of the 2nd District of the Department of Kansas and was awarded a life membership. She was also past Chapeau Passe Wyandotte-Johnson Salon 512 of eight and forty.
Mrs. Kline was a charter member of the Wyandot Chapter of National Secretaries Association International, a charter member and past officer of the Kansas City, Kan., Business and Professional Women, the Kansas City, Kan., YWCA, member and past officer of Abdiel Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Roanoke Presbyterian Church and served as clerk of the Session and an officer of the Women's Association. She was a member and past president of the D.D.D. Club.
Her husband, Raymond, died in 1967.
Survivors include her cousins.
