Joan Mruskovich 1939 - 2009 Shawnee
Mass of Christian Burial for Joan Mruskovich, 70, Shawnee, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum, Lenexa.
Mrs. Mruskovich died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam.
She was born June 17, 1939, in Chicago, the daughter of John and Ann (Lacy) Lonosky. On June 15, 1968, she married Joseph Mruskovich in Chicago, and moved to Shawnee.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Joseph J. Mruskovich, Olathe; a daughter, Kimberly A. Douglas, Shawnee; two sisters, Ann Mruskovich, Palos Heights, Ill., and Joyce Toma, Oak Forest, Ill.; a brother, John Lonosky, Oak Lawn, Ill.; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, where a rosary recitation will be at 6 p.m.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?
I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
