Duane E. "Butch" Jackman 1946 - 2009 Shawnee
Funeral Mass for Butch Jackman, 62, Shawnee, was Monday, June 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee. Burial was at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa.
Mr. Jackman died Tuesday, June 16, 2009.
He was born Nov. 4, 1946, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Robert and Margaret Schulte Jackman. He grew up in Tipton, and graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1964. Mr. Jackman worked for GM for more than 30 years before retiring in 1999.
An infant daughter, Carrie, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Anne, of the home; two daughters, Janelle Malinowski and husband Louis, and Jennifer Crane and husband Michael; five granddaughters; and two brothers, George and Gary.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?
I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
