Michael Ray Bombardier 2009 - 2009 Bonner Springs
Funeral Mass for Michael Ray "Bum" Bombardier, 51, Bonner Springs, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Shawnee. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
Mr. Bombardier died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at his home.
He was born March 30, 1958, in Concordia, Kan., and moved in 1971 to Bonner Springs. He graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1976. He moved to Seattle in the early 1980s and worked at Todd Shipyard for 25 years before moving back to the Bonner area in 2003.
At the time of his death, he had worked at Forrest Products in Kansas City, Kan.
Survivors include his father, Ray, Shawnee; two sisters, Sandy Neal, Bonner Springs, and Cathy Lewis, White Hall, Ark.; and his loyal four-legged friend, Minnie.
The family will receive friends at the visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Alden - Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs. A rosary service will be at 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association, sent in care of the funeral home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.

Given the time the state has had to prepare, I don’t think completing the access road before starting/ closing Johnson Drive is an unreasonable request from these businesses or those of us who patronize them.
