Shawnee has tapped more than $7 million for street maintenance in 2013. In your opinion, are roads the No. 1 issue facing the city right now?

“Shawnee has no big problems presently, but it should trim its budget more judiciously, especially on ‘giveaways’ to local home and business developers.”

“Most definitely. Roads, public safety, economic development would be my priorities, in that order.”
