The Art Auction for the Shawnee Sesquicentennial Committee was held Friday night at the Pavilion at 75th and Nieman Road. Proceeds from the sales of the paintings was split between the artists and the committee.
Before the auction, bidders gathered around to examine the paintings. About 100 persons attended the event, held Friday night at the Pavilionat 75th and Nieman Road.
Before the live auction began, particpants also entered bids for about 20 items entered in the silent auction.
