The holidays are over and it's time to remove the old Christmas tree from the car:er, house. That is what Lynn Franey and her 4-year-old son, Declan, were doing Sunday at the tree drop-off site at Shawnee Mission Park. Trees can be dropped off in the parking lot near the marina from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Jan. 20.

Clothes for men, women and children fill almost two rooms in the basement of the Arrowhead Administration Building in Overland Park where Marthe Tamblyn and other volunteers sort and arrange the apparel. Tamblyn is one of co-chairs of the Shawnee Mission Area Council PTA Clothing Center.
Diners at the new Bandana's restaurant eat amid the Wild West theme, with the chain's signature water bucket lamp shades above each table. The restaurant focuses on the meat's flavor for its barbecue, with a special rub and up to 14 hours of smoking.
