Snowflakes were in abundance in a big way along Shawnee Mission Parkway Friday as Matt Hoover and other crews from Creative Displays were setting up the streetlight ornaments. More than 250 snowflakes will be set up from Kansas Highway 7 to Goddard Street. The lights were delayed in going up this year due to new type of bulbs installed on all the snowflakes. Each light has 110 LED bulbs, which last longer and use just one-third the energy of the regular bulbs.
