During the formal groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday for the new Shawnee Justice Center, red-ribbon shovels await the digging dignitaries. The new center, located at the northwest corner of Johnson Drive and Renner Road, will include the police department, municipal court and Fire Station No. 2. Construction is to be completed by August next year.
