St. James first-baseman Doug Leikam was hit in the head by the ball while trying to scoop a short throw early in the championship game Saturday night at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. The bad hop gave Leikam a minor wound to the forehead, but he stayed in the game. Spring Hill won the Butch Foster Memorial Baseball Classic, 1-0, over St. James.
