Jennifer Battles was looking for cooking and decorating books Monday at the Shawnee library on Johnson Drive. Battles added that she and her family just moved to the area recently and she was trying to find new recipe ideas as a means to cutback eating out.

Absolutely. We wouldn’t be able to sit here and eat lunch like this if it weren’t for the veterans. We’ve got millions of people that fought and died to save this country; it should be more than a bank holiday.
