Zach Zarda, Maranatha Academy senior, leaves other runners behind during his heat of the 1,600-meter run at the Kansas Relays this season. Zarda won Class 2A track and field state championships in the 3,200 and 1,600 and finished third in the 800. His dominant performance capped what was an all-around great year for Maranatha athletics.
