Shawnee Mission Northwest's Jared Ellsworth runs the third leg of the 1,600-meter relay preliminary on Friday at the Class 6A state meet. Northwest turned in the second best time of the day and advanced to Saturday's finals.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?
I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
