The Shawnee Mission Northwest drill team had a beautiful morning and colorful presentation Saturday during the homecoming parade to kick off Spirit Week. The parade started at Gum Springs Park and made its way west on 67th Street to the high school.

Absolutely. We wouldn’t be able to sit here and eat lunch like this if it weren’t for the veterans. We’ve got millions of people that fought and died to save this country; it should be more than a bank holiday.
