St. James Academy seniors, from left, Lauren Brown, Kara McCaughey, Morgan Tholen and Chelsea Zillner recently signed NCAA Division I letters of intent to play sports in college. Brown will play volleyball at Appalachian State, McCaughey will play soccer at South Dakota State, Tholen will play volleyball at Colorado and Zillner will compete in equestrian at Auburn.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?
I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
