Shawnee Mission Northwest freshman-to-be Damar'e Smith dribbles through traffic in the JR. NBA Central Regional Championship tournament in June at Sports Pavilion Lawrence. Smith and Drive5 Power Elite won the regional tournament to secure a spot at Jr. NBA World Championships this week at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World in Orlando. Mill Valley freshman-to-be Adrian Dimond is also on Drive5 Power Elite. Bishop Miege freshman-to-be and Shawnee native Gabi Henderson-Artis will try to guide KC Prodigy to a Jr. NBA World Championship in the girls bracket.

Smith and Dimond helped Drive5 Power Elite to a Jr. NBA Central Regional boys title. Henderson-Artis was a member of KC Prodigy's Jr. NBA Central Regional girls championship team.
