SMN 14th, SMNW 17th at Class 6A boys swimming and diving state championships

Shawnee Mission North and SM Northwest placed 14th and 17th, respectively, at the Class 6A boys swimming and diving state championships on Saturday at Capitol Federal Natatorium in Topeka. Northwest sophomore Scott Klein broke his own school record in the 50-yard freestyle to tie for third place, as he earned all-state second-team honors. North's James Cameron, Trey Smith, Clayton McMillin and Luke Guthrie led the Indians with a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
