CSI: Shawnee June 17, 2009
Youngsters learned how to be real-life crime scene investigators during the Shawnee Parks and Recreation Department’s CSI: Shawnee class.
Mission Police Officer Marty Augustine (left) helps Jake Oltremari of Merriam lift a fingerprint from Oltremari’s cup at Shawnee Parks and Recreation Department’s Shawnee: CSI class. Augustine and Mission Police Det. Danny Smith helped teach the class, which was conducted Tuesday.

Do you do anything to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?
“We are all Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. My family won the best in family floats in Shawnee’s St. Patrick’s Day parade a few years back. We got to have a big trophy for the year. My sons love throwing out candy on the parade route.”
