2009 Shawnee Mission North Relays May 12, 2009
Keegan Williams, Maranatha Academy junior pole vaulter, watches her poll bump against the bar while dropping to the mat on Friday at the Shawnee Mission North Relays. Williams, the reigning Class 2A state champion and current No. 1-ranked vaulter in her class, took on the top vaulter in Class 6A, the No. 2 vaulter in Class 5A, and numerous other state contenders from the Shawnee area at the North Relays.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?
I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
