St. James Academy's Nick Mancuso pinned Shawnee Mission North's Blake Jacobson during their match in the consolation bracket at the Shawnee Mission North Invitational. Mancuso went on to finish third.
Shawnee Mission North senior Andrew Jones tangled with Olathe East's Will Collins for a while during their 140-pound championship match at the Shawnee Mission North Invitational, but Jones eventually won the match by pin.
St. James Academy senior Derek Feist went head-to-head with Olathe East's Nick Quinn in the consolation bracket at the Shawnee Mission North Invitational. Feist won the 171-pound match in a 3-2 decision, but he did not medal at the tournament.
St. James Academy's Max Mancuso won the 119-pound championship at the Shawnee Mission North Invitational.
Shawnee Mission North senior Kyle Needham placed fourth at 171 pounds at the Shawnee Mission North Invitational.
Shawnee Mission North's Cody Carson and St. James Academy's Jack Vielhauer squared off in the consolation bracket at the Shawnee Mission North Invitational. Carson won the match by pin and went on to take third at the tournament.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?
I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
