Old Shawnee Days Parade June 9, 2010
The 2010 Old Shawnee Days Parade had 141 entries, it's most ever.
Frank Goode, who recently ended more than three decades on the Shawnee City Council, waves to the parade crowd on Saturday. Goode was this year’s parade grand marshal.
Fire trucks were plentiful in the parade.
Clowns, as usual, were a big hit with youngsters lining the parade route.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?
I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
