SMNW Signing Day
Fourteen Shawnee Mission Northwest student-athletes signed the letters of intent to continue playing their respective sports at the collegiate level, Wednesday in the school's cafeteria. The list of signees includes Erica Esch (Baker — soccer and track), Abbi Bird (Wichita State — track), Dakota Hulse (Haskell Indian Nations — track and cross country), Robert Strain (Independence Community College — football), Brian Morelan (Coffeyville CC — football), Jason Barnhart (Lindenwood-Belleville — rugby), Meaghan Bower (Lewis — swimming), Clayton Hale (Allen CC — baseball), Joe Specht (Rockhurst — baseball), Alex Towler (Avila — baseball), Austin Sanders (Nebraska Wesleyan — basketball), Ferdinand Handy (Ottawa — basketball), Dylan Dirks (Nebraska Wesleyan — basketball), Danielle Rehor (Avila — basketball). Two others who signed on Wednesday, but were unable to attend were Gerrit Prince (Butler CC — football) and Amelia Hoelting (Baker — soccer).
