3rd annual Run for Mercy April 22

The 3rd Annual Run for Mercy returns to Mill Valley High School in western Shawnee next month with 5K and 10K races, Chris Cakes, a kids run, crafts, activities, music and more.
The run begins at 8 a.m. April 22 with the traditional "South African Rooster Crow." The run will begin at Mill Valley, 5900 Monticello, where there will also be kids crafts and activities and a moonwalk. A Chris Cakes all you can eat pancake and sausage breakfast will be $5.
To participate in the run itself, register online at www.oceansofmercy.com, or visit www.active.com" and search for "Run for Mercy." Brochures are also available at health clubs and sporting goods stores throughout the area.
The Run for Mercy supports Oceans of Mercy, which was established to respond to the HIV/AIDS pandemic that is devastating the continent of Africa and is dedicated to meeting the needs of children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
