Annual race benefits AIDS orphanage in South Africa

With almost perfect springtime weather, the third annual Run for Mercy attracted more than 1,000 runners and walkers for Saturday's 5K and 10K run/walk event. Proceeds from the event with go to help support the Oceans of Mercy Childrens Village in South Africa. Check next Wednesday's issue of The Dispatch for more information.

What advice do you have for this year’s graduating high school seniors?
“Go back to school. They need to get an education and I mean post-bachelor’s degree. A bachelor’s degree is the new high school diploma.”
