Residents at Village Cooperative of Shawnee teamed up to make 40 wooden doll cradles, which will be distributed to children in need through the Johnson County Christmas Bureau’s annual holiday shop.

New Shawnee assistant city manager Caitllin Gard is looking forward to tackling big projects next year, such as a city-wide strategic plan and priority-based budgeting.
