Stevens took on the role of Tonganoxie Phil for a Kansas City, Mo. radio station for a few years and continues the “meteorology” role today. Pictured with him is a stuffed toy groundhog that a patient gave him a few years ago.

Do you think it is important for Shawnee to be bicycle-friendly?
I think it’s important. I do love and use the paths, but it would be nice to have lanes so we could use bikes to run errands - saving gas!
